First introduced to the watchmaking scene in the 1980s, ceramic is scratch-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and fade-resistant. The engineering process uses inorganic, non-metallic powders, most commonly developed for aerospace and other high-tech industries, that are sintered at high temperatures to create the attractive, polished, solid material seen on the Compression Diver case. The material formed from this process is lightweight, easy to wear, and hypoallergenic.
The newly released colorways feature radiant sunburst dials with uni-directional rotating bezels, striking hands and markers with Super-LumiNova for unparalleled visibility, and are complemented by FKM rubber straps. The Compression Diver holds a Swiss-made STP 1-21 automatic movement.
