Certified Pre-Owned Process

Since 1948

Royal Jewelers prides itself in providing a wide array of Certified-Pre-Owned watches of all makes and models. Paramount to any certified pre-owned timepiece is the process in which it is analyzed and prepared for sale. Please take a look at our process below.

Pre-Owned Watch Certification Process

Certified Pre-Owned watches provide an excellent way to grow your collection, acquire a collectable piece, start your timepiece journey, or simply celebrate a special occasion. Let Royal Jewelers eliminate the worry of fraudulent or faulty pieces. We follow a strict CPO process that is applied to all timepieces, no matter the provenance. Our expert team ensures that the piece you're purchasing has been thoroughly inspected and prepared for sale.

CPO Process #1

Before any timepiece is touched by a tool or machine, our Watch Experts with decades of experience visually inspect the piece for maker marking and then verify said markings. We also inspect for damage and modification to all pieces.

CPO Process #2

Following our visual inspection, our Watch Experts will tactfully and carefully remove all necessary components of the watch such as the band in order to complete a more thorough inspection and evaluation of the timepiece.

CPO Process #3

As our Watch Expert carefully inspects the piece, we ensure that the movement is functioning accurately and properly, ensuring that manufacturer specification is met and the watch is functioning in like-new condition.

CPO Process #4

Finally, once our thorough analysis of the watch has been completed, we re-assemble all necessary components, fully detail, tune, and prepare the watch for sale here at Royal Jewelers. We take a great amount of pride in our CPO process!
