A modern reinterpretation of a classic, the IWC Ingenieur Automatic 40 Ref. IW328907 blends pilot instrumentation with refined elegance. Originally designed in 1976 by Gérald Genta, this iconic sports watch returns with a 40 mm stainless steel case featuring a signature five-screw bezel and integrated H-link bracelet—perfectly calibrated for slim-wrist ergonomics.

The rich blue “grid” dial, stamped into a soft-iron base, not only adds visual depth but also conceals the soft-iron inner cage that protects the movement from magnetic interference. Rhodium-plated hands and appliqués are treated with Super‑LumiNova® for excellent legibility, while a date window at 3 o’clock rounds out the clean, functional aesthetic.

Inside, the IWC-manufactured Calibre 32111 beats at 4 Hz and delivers a remarkable 120-hour (5-day) power reserve, thanks to a double-pawl winding system. The movement is shielded against magnetic fields and protected by an exhibition sapphire crystal back. With double-sided AR-coated sapphire glass, 10 bar water resistance, and ergonomic crown guards, this is a luxury sports watch engineered for modern life.
